JOB PURPOSE

To manage and execute end-to-end international freight forwarding, customs clearance, transit clearance, and final delivery operations on a project basis. The role ensures the timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across borders, in coordination with shipping lines, customs authorities, transporters, and clients, while maintaining full compliance with Saudi Customs (ZATCA) and international trade regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

International Freight Forwarding

▪ Plan, coordinate, and manage international air, sea, and land freight shipments from origin to destination.

▪ Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, freight agents, and overseas partners to secure competitive rates and space.

▪ Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

▪ Track and monitor shipment status, providing timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders.

Customs Clearance

▪ Manage import and export customs clearance through Saudi Customs (ZATCA) FASAH platform and other relevant systems.

▪ Prepare and submit customs declarations, ensuring accurate HS code classification, duty calculation, and documentation.

▪ Coordinate with customs brokers, port authorities, and regulatory bodies (SFDA, SASO, etc.) for inspections and approvals.

▪ Ensure full compliance with Saudi and international customs laws, tariffs, and import/export regulations.

Transit Clearance

▪ Handle transit and cross-border clearance procedures for goods moving through or across GCC and international borders.

▪ Manage transit documentation, bonds, and guarantees in line with applicable regulations.

▪ Coordinate with border authorities and transit agents to ensure smooth and uninterrupted movement of cargo.

Delivery & Last-Mile Coordination

▪ Arrange and oversee final delivery of cleared goods to the designated client sites or warehouses.

▪ Coordinate with transporters and fleet teams to ensure timely, safe, and damage-free delivery.

▪ Verify proof of delivery (POD), resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate delivery records.

▪ Ensure all project delivery milestones and SLA timelines are achieved.

Coordination, Reporting & Compliance

▪ Serve as the key point of contact between clients, customs, transporters, and internal teams for the assigned project.

▪ Maintain operational trackers, cost sheets, and status reports for all shipments under the project.

▪ Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, delays, and compliance issues proactively.

▪ Ensure adherence to company policies, HSE standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in international freight forwarding and customs clearance, preferably in Saudi Arabia / GCC.

• Working knowledge of Saudi Customs (ZATCA), FASAH platform, and import/export documentation.

• Familiarity with HS code classification, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures.

• Strong knowledge of air, sea, and land freight operations.

• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics / ERP systems.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

• Valid Saudi driving license and transferable Iqama (preferred).

ENGAGEMENT DETAILS

This is a project-based engagement for four (4) candidates to support the international freight forwarding, customs clearance, transit clearance, and delivery requirements of the assigned project. The duration, remuneration, and specific deliverables will be defined in the individual project contract.
