HVAC Technician in Riyadh

Job Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) systems in industrial facilities. The role ensures all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air conditioning units, chillers, ventilation systems, ducting, and refrigeration systems.

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.

Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Check refrigerant levels and handle refrigerants according to safety regulations.

Ensure proper functioning of thermostats, compressors, motors, fans, and control systems.

Conduct routine inspections and testing of HVAC equipment.

Maintain maintenance records and service reports.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and resolve issues promptly.

Follow company safety procedures and comply with environmental regulations.

Coordinate with other maintenance and operations teams when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance within industrial or commercial facilities.

Good knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and refrigeration systems.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

Ability to read technical diagrams and equipment manuals.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Basic computer knowledge for reporting and maintenance systems.

Preferred Skills

Experience with industrial chillers and large cooling systems.

Knowledge of building management systems (BMS).

Understanding of safety standards and permit-to-work systems.

Certification in HVAC or refrigeration handling is an advantage.

Working Conditions

Work may involve indoor and outdoor industrial environments.

Ability to work under pressure and during emergency call-outs.

May require shift work, overtime, or weekend support.
