Job Purpose

Administer delivery plans and processes to provide transportation of materials or products, assure on-time physical delivery of goods to the customer and ensure guaranteed minimum delivery times in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies

Key Tasks

• Administer delivery plans and processes

• Perform assigned tasks and activities to provide effective dispatch and delivery of shipments within targeted timelines

• Work with and understand clients requirements to ensure timely arrival and departure of shipments and minimize transit times between pickup/delivery locations

• As per deviations from timelines inform customer in case of delays

• Follow established reporting and documentation processes to achieve visibility on pick-up/ delivery activities

• Study dispatch/ delivery processes and transportation solutions to recognize and report inefficiencies

• Resolve recurring issues, and suggest enhancements to drivers work methods focusing on increasing effectiveness, efficiency and cost control

Stakeholders

• Explain facts, policies and practices related to job area

• Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own sub-function

• Develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen the organizational, product and market knowledge

Management Responsibility

• Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others
