Job Title: Site Engineer – Interior Contracting

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of interior fit-out works on site, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and safety regulations. The role involves close coordination with the project manager, site supervisor, subcontractors, and consultants.

– Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Engineering Works.

Study and interpret approved shop drawings, construction drawings, and specifications.

Set out and ensure accurate execution of interior works such as gypsum partitions, ceilings, carpentry, joinery, flooring, tiling, painting, and finishes.

Prepare method statements and work procedures for interior activities.

Resolve technical issues and provide site-level engineering solutions.

– Site Coordination:

Coordinate daily site activities with site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.

Liaise with consultants, inspectors, and client representatives for inspections and approvals.

Ensure work sequences align with the project schedule.

– Quality Control:

Ensure all works comply with project quality standards and specifications.

Conduct inspections and prepare snag lists.

Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely closure of snags

– Material & Resource Management:

Prepare material take-offs and material requisitions.

Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.

Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely delivery of materials.

-Health, Safety & Compliance:

Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures on site.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe work practices.

Report incidents, near misses, and safety observations.

– Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare daily site reports and progress updates

Maintain inspection records, approvals, and site documentation

Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents

– Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

2–6 years of experience in interior fit-out or finishing projects.

Experience working on residential, commercial, or hospitality interior projects.

– Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of interior construction methods and materials.

Ability to read and coordinate architectural, MEP, and interior drawings.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and coordination abilities

Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge preferred

– Preferred Requirements:

Familiarity with local authority regulations and inspection procedures

Experience with fast-track interior fit-out projects

Valid Saudi driving license

– Work Environment:

Full-time, site-based position.
