Chemist – Tile Adhesive Quality Control in Riyadh

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemist to join our Tile Adhesive Quality Control Team. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, durability, and compliance. This position is ideal for chemists experienced in construction chemicals, dry-mix mortars, or cementitious materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Formulation & R&D

Develop and improve chemical formulations tailored for different tile types, substrates, and environmental conditions.

Optimize adhesives for wet areas, high-traffic zones, and outdoor applications.

2. Raw Material Quality Control

Test and evaluate Portland cement, quartz sand, HPMC, redispersible polymers, and other additives.

Ensure consistency and quality of all incoming materials.

3. Product Performance Testing

Conduct standardized tests including:

Bond Strength (Tensile Adhesion)

Water Resistance

Deformability (S1/S2 Classification)

Open Time & Workability

Perform wet curing, dry curing, heat aging, and performance simulation tests.

4. Chemical Composition Analysis

Verify formulation consistency and screen for harmful substances such as VOCs.

Maintain detailed lab reports and documentation.

5. Standards & Compliance

Ensure all products meet ISO 13007, EN 12004, and relevant national quality standards.

Classify materials into C1, C2, and other performance categories.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.

2–5 years’ experience in construction chemicals or QC labs (tile adhesives preferred).

Strong understanding of cement chemistry, polymers, and rheology.

Hands-on experience with lab testing equipment and ISO/EN test methods.
