The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large-scale centralized HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units (AHUs).

Key Responsibilities

• Centralized System Expertise: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on large commercial and industrial centralized AC systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems).

• Diagnostics & Repair: Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment and Building Management Systems (BMS) controls.

• Routine Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, component lubrication, filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigeration system checks.

• Refrigerant Handling: Safely handle, reclaim, and charge various refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations and best practices.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and refrigerant usage.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and local building codes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum [3] years of professional experience as an AC Technician, with a focus on commercial or industrial centralized HVAC systems.

• Technical Skills: Proven ability to work on different types and brands of chillers (e.g., Screw, Centrifugal) and cooling towers.

• Certification: Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration). [Specify any required licenses, e.g., EPA certification for refrigerant handling, local licenses].

• Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, motor controls, and three-phase power systems related to HVAC equipment.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
