Job Summary:

The Jewellery Stone Setter is responsible for setting diamonds, gemstones, and pearls into gold jewellery pieces with precision and high-quality craftsmanship. The role requires expertise in various stone-setting techniques, ensuring secure placement, proper alignment, and maintaining the overall quality and appearance of the jewellery.

Key Responsibilities:

Set diamonds, precious gemstones, semi-precious stones, and pearls into gold jewellery.

Perform various setting techniques including prong, bezel, channel, pave, flush, and micro-setting.

Ensure stones are securely set and properly aligned according to design specifications.

Inspect stones before and after setting to identify defects, damage, or quality issues.

Handle delicate gemstones and pearls with care to prevent damage.

Work closely with designers, CAD teams, and production staff to achieve the desired finish.

Perform stone tightening, repairs, and adjustments when required.

Maintain production quality standards and minimize stone loss or damage.

Use jewellery setting tools and microscopes where necessary.

Ensure all completed pieces meet company quality requirements before final polishing and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in stone setting for gold jewellery.

Proven experience setting diamonds, gemstones, and pearls.

Strong knowledge of gemstone characteristics and handling requirements.

Experience in high-end and fine jewellery manufacturing preferred.

Ability to work on rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and custom jewellery pieces.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent hand skills and attention to detail.

Strong knowledge of stone-setting techniques.

Ability to work with very small stones and intricate designs.

Quality-focused with high precision standards.

Good problem-solving and workmanship skills.

Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.
