Job Vacancy:- Testing Engineer (Electrical)

Position: Electrical Testing Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia

Experience Required: SEC / NG / HV–MV Substation Testing & Commissioning

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays (ABB, SEL, Siemens, GE, Schneider etc.).

• Conduct primary & secondary injection testing for Circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, transformers, and switchgear.

• Carry out diagnostic tests: insulation resistance, contact resistance, ratio test, etc.

• Execute retrofit work in SEC substations, including:

o Replacement of old relays with SEC-approved Numerical relays.

o Modification and rewiring of protection & control panels.

o Updating drawings and logic schemes.

o Testing and integration of new protection schemes.

• Troubleshoot faults in control circuits, interlocks, and communication systems.

• Prepare test reports, as-built documentation, and commissioning records.

• Ensure compliance with SEC standards, and all site safety procedures.

• Coordinate with SEC engineers, consultants, and internal project teams.

???? Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience in substation testing & commissioning (HV/MV).

• Hands-on experience with test equipment (Freja, Sverker, OMICRON, Megger etc.).

• Knowledge of relay logic, protection schemes, control wiring, and substation systems.

• Experience in SEC Projects is mandatory.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.

Experience: 5-6 years (preferably with Saudi Electricity Company)

Basic requirements: Transferable Iqama, Valid Saudi Arabian Driving License and work permit receiver from Saudi Electricity Company and National Grid.
