Fixed Assets Controller in Jeddah

Job Summary:

The Fixed Assets Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate records of the company’s fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing asset capitalization and depreciation, and supporting financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Record acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments of fixed assets.

Calculate and post depreciation and amortization expenses monthly.

Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, or local accounting standards.

Perform periodic fixed asset physical verification and reconciliation.

Reconcile general ledger accounts related to fixed assets.

Support budgeting and forecasting of capital expenditures (CAPEX).

Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.

Ensure correct classification and capitalization of fixed assets in accordance with company policy.

Implement and improve internal controls over fixed asset management.

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams on asset tracking and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA).

3–5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years focused on fixed asset management.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Experience with asset management or financial reporting tools is an advantage.
