Key Responsibilities
Tendering
Review tender invitations, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams during tender preparation.
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare tender clarifications and attend bid meetings.
Ensure timely submission of tenders in accordance with client requirements.
Maintain records of submitted and awarded tenders.
Costing & Estimation
Prepare detailed project cost estimates for construction projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs and BOQ verification.
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Develop project budgets and cost plans.
Perform value engineering and cost optimization.
Monitor market prices and update cost databases regularly.
Evaluate project risks and include appropriate contingencies in estimates.
Commercial & Contract Review
Review commercial terms and conditions of contracts.
Identify contractual and financial risks associated with tenders.
Support contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Team Management
Lead and supervise Estimation and Tendering Engineers.
Allocate tasks and monitor tender schedules.
Review estimates and bid submissions for accuracy and completeness.
Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional certifications are an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in construction tendering and costing.
Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong experience in Saudi Arabian construction projects.
