Senior Web Developer

– We are looking for a skilled web developer to join our team for a long-term government project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate is someone with extensive technical expertise in the creation, maintenance, and administration of websites/web applications.
Responsibilities:
– Meet regularly with stakeholders to understand, gather and refine business and functional requirements and determine project scopes and specifications.
– Create websites, microsites, webpages, and newsletters using standard practices.
– Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best development practices for the web.
– Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling websites.
– Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
– Implement contingency plans in case the website goes down.
– Cooperate closely with the content manager and web designer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Web development.
• Working knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, such as APIs, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, My SQL, and ASP.NET.
• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, user interface (UI), User Experience (UX), and best development practices.
• Experience in content management systems (WordPress and Drupal).
• Basic knowledge of network diagnostics, network analytics tools.
• Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process.
• Strong problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
• Solid ability in both written and verbal communication in English.
