CNC Machinist in Dammam

The CNC Milling Machine Operator / Programmer is responsible for running, monitoring, and programming CNC milling machines to produce machined parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role ensures efficient, safe production by maintaining machine readiness, setting up jobs, editing/testing programs, inspecting finished and troubleshooting issues to prevent downtime and defects.

This role also supports manufacturing execution through disciplined work habits, compliance with procedures, and maintenance of accurate production output records to enable smooth scheduling and meeting project deadlines.

Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities

CNC Operations & Production Execution

• Run and monitor CNC milling machines to produce parts according to specifications and approved drawings/blueprints.

• Perform job setup for specific machining tasks, ensuring correct tool selection, fixtures, and machine settings.

Programming, Editing & Testing

• Edit, test, and verify CNC programs to ensure correct machining results.

• Make necessary adjustments during setup/production to maintain accuracy and

dimensional compliance.

• Use machine controls (e.g., Fanuc) according to standardized programming and operating

procedures.

Technical Interpretation & Machining Requirements parts,

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and part specifications to understand machining requirements.

• Identify tolerances and quality requirements from engineering documents.

Quality Inspection & Defect Resolution

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, identifying and resolving defects or issues.

• Ensure parts comply with required standards before release for the next process/stage.

Tooling, Fixturing & Measuring Equipment Management

Select, prepare, and maintain necessary tools and fixtures for each machining operation.

• Use and maintain standard measuring instruments to verify conformance (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial test indicators, and CMM where applicable).

Machine Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Perform routine maintenance, including machine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repair.

• Maintain safe and organized work areas, ensuring readiness for continuous operation.
