Electrical Technician in Jeddah

Job Description:

– Assist the Preservation Officer in preservation and maintenance of electrical parts of ship and rig

equipment.

– Carry out visual inspections of electrical equipment, panels, motors, heaters, and cables.

– Ensure correct installation and functioning of space heaters, voltage supply, earthing, and safety

arrangements.

– Monitor and record temperature, voltage, and current (ampere) readings of preserved equipment.

– Perform basic electrical testing, Megger test, continuity checks, and insulation verification as required.

– Support preservation documentation, tagging, and status updates (manual or system-based).

– Assist during QC inspections, audits, and preservation checks.

– Coordinate with warehouse, MRO, and project teams for safe handling and movement of electrical

equipment.

– Maintain housekeeping, safety compliance, and tool control within work areas.

Skills & Qualification:

– Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.

– Basic knowledge of industrial, shipyard, or rig electrical systems.

– Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

– Basic computer skills (data entry, Excel, email preferred).

– Understanding of electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements.

– Physically fit for yard, warehouse, and equipment inspection activities.

Experience:

– 2 – 4 years’ experience as an Electrical Technician preferred.

– Exposure to shipyard, offshore, rig, heavy equipment, or industrial preservation is an advantage.
