Job Title: FLOWER SHOP SALESMAN

Overview:

A Flower Shop Salesman (or Sales Associate/Representative) helps customers choose, designs, and sells floral arrangements, requiring strong customer service, product knowledge (flowers, occasions), sales skills (upselling), and basic design talent for creating bouquets, while also handling POS, inventory, shop maintenance, and potentially online orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers, understand their needs for special occasions, provide expert advice on flowers, and resolve issues.

• Sales & Transactions: Process in-store, phone, and online orders, handle payments, and meet sales targets.

• Floral Design: Create arrangements, bouquets, and displays, potentially learning design trends and techniques.

• Inventory Management: Receive, process, care for, and maintain stock of fresh flowers and supplies.

• Shop Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness, organize displays, and manage inventory.

• Marketing: Assist with promotional activities and online sales/communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: To interact with emotional or stressed clients and build relationships.

• Sales Acumen: Upselling, meeting targets, and closing sales.

• Product Knowledge: Understanding different flowers, their meanings, and care.

• Creativity: Artistic flair for design.

• Physical Stamina: Handling deliveries and physical tasks.

• Attention to Detail: For accurate orders and beautiful arrangements.
