Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

VGA Holdings is seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeper to oversee the company’s financial records and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting operations. The successful candidate will maintain precise financial data, support management with timely reporting, and contribute to the overall financial integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Process invoices, receipts, payments, and credit notes efficiently and accurately.

Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and internal ledgers on a monthly basis.

Prepare and maintain management reports, cash flow statements, and basic financial summaries.

Handle petty cash, staff expense reimbursements, and supplier settlements.

Assist in budget preparation and expenditure tracking.

Ensure compliance with Bahrain VAT regulations and assist with audit requirements.

Coordinate with external accountants or auditors for monthly and annual reporting.

Maintain organized and confidential financial filing systems.

Monitor outstanding invoices, debtors, and vendor payments to ensure timely follow-up.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.

Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.

Familiarity with Bahraini financial regulations and VAT processes.

Excellent numerical accuracy, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in a corporate or multi-entity holdings environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).

Knowledge of multi-currency transactions and international payment processing.

A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and financial accuracy.
