Cost Control Engineer wanted for a project in Riyadh

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in construction projects

Qualities

• Cost Estimating & Budgeting: Ability to develop accurate initial project budgets (Capital Expenditure/CAPEX) and detailed cost breakdowns using historical data, quotes, and estimating software.

• Cost Monitoring & Forecasting: Expertise in tracking actual costs (labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts) against the budget, forecasting final costs (Estimate at Completion – EAC), and identifying variances before they become crises.

• Change Management & Valuation: Skill in quantifying the cost impact of changes (variations/change orders), preparing claims, and negotiating with clients and subcontractors.

• Earned Value Management (EVM): Proficiency in using EVM methodology to integrate scope, schedule, and cost to measure project performance and efficiency (CPI, SPI).

• Financial & Accounting Acumen: Understanding of basic accounting principles, cash flow analysis, and project financial reporting.

• Technical Understanding: Solid grasp of engineering principles, construction methods, and the project lifecycle to create realistic cost models.

• Software Proficiency: Mastery of specialized tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Oracle, and advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas). Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and cost-specific software
