Safety Engineer in Riyadh

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HSE Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an HSE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing best practices across our organization.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs

• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions

• Provide HSE training and education to employees at all levels of the organization

• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to HSE metrics

• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution

• Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies as required

• Stay updated on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 05 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in industrial / Airport / Infrastructure / construction.

• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable to the region

• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate at all levels

• Proficiency in HSE software and data analysis tools

• Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable

• Experience with environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives

• Familiarity with industrial safety practices and occupational health standards

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
