Safety Officer

Safety Officer Purpose of the job
– Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety & ensures the Site Safety and Health Plan is prepared and implemented.
– Duties and Responsibilities
– Supporting the development of HSE policies and programs
– Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures
– Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
– Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
– Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
– Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
– Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
– Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
– Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes
– Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company

• Good command of Arabic & English
• Has the ability to work as a team worker.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
• Certificate in occupational health and safety
