Job Title: Accounts Officer
Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Industry: Trading (Import & Export)
Salary: 3,000 SAR – 3,500 SAR
Role Overview
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for the high-level maintenance of financial records and ensuring the company remains in full compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations. Rather than manual data entry, the focus of this role is on verifying accuracy, maintaining systematic records, and managing the company’s local financial obligations.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Professional Education: Must be an ACCA Member or CA Inter (passed).
• Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of total experience, including at least 2 years at a reputable Chartered Accountant (CA) firm.
• Language Skills: * Fluent in English and Urdu/Hindi.
o Basic Arabic is a significant plus (required for navigating local portals and government documents).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of KSA’s latest tax laws and import/export financial processes.
• Key Attributes: Highly disciplined, assertive, and capable of working independently with high integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Record Maintenance & Auditing
• System Oversight: Maintain and organize records for expenses, income, assets, liabilities, and capital accounts to ensure the ledger is accurate and up to date.
• Document Substantiation: Audit and verify all source documents (invoices, receipts, shipping docs) to substantiate every financial transaction.
• Import/Export Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records for international trade, including customs declarations, freight charges, and LC-related documents.
2. KSA Regulatory Portal Management
• ZATCA: Oversee VAT records and ensure total compliance with E-invoicing (Fatoora) regulations.
• Mudad & Qiwa: Manage financial records related to payroll and the Wage Protection System (WPS).
• TAMM: Maintain and monitor financial records related to company vehicles and logistics.
3. Cash & Liquidity Management
• Petty Cash Management: Maintain the office petty cash fund, ensuring all minor disbursements are documented, authorized, and reconciled weekly.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and accounts receivable to ensure no discrepancies exist.
4. Reporting & Compliance
• Financial Reporting: Analyze and summarize account information to prepare monthly and special financial reports for management.
• Internal Controls: Follow and enforce company SOPs and internal controls to protect company assets and financial security.
