University Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Post-graduation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (preferable)

7+ years in petrochemical, oil, gas, refinery, or engineering companies

Minimum 5 years in a design office

Experience with:

Large projects

Secondment assignments

Multi-line business operations

Multiple project phases

Competency in several of the following areas:

Deep knowledge of local/international codes & standards: ASHRAE, SMACNA, AHRI, ASTM, IMC, NFPA, PIP, RC Standards, SBC, HCIS, SHEMS

Strong grasp of engineering theories and principles for sound decision-making

Expertise in HVAC and Plumbing system design using software like ELITE and HAP

Experience in multi-story building HVAC/Plumbing design with optimization for cost and constructability

Industrial Air Conditioning Systems design and HVAC equipment selection/application

Familiarity with Value Engineering techniques

Ability to validate critical code/standard requirements in vendor document approvals

Proficiency in preparing technical sections of engineering contract packages

Knowledge of design optimization and LEED rating systems

Understanding of interdisciplinary engineering workflows

Experience in proposal development: design, scope/interface definition, deliverables, IT tools, man-hour estimates

Awareness of development and training needs for technical teams
