MV/LV Cable Jointers in Riyadh

We are seeking experienced MV/LV Cable Jointers to perform complete cable termination and jointing works for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage power cables connecting generators, MV/LV switchgear, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) for critical power projects at airport facilities. The candidate must ensure all jointing and termination works are executed in compliance with approved standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out MV cable terminations and straight-through joints in accordance with approved kits and manufacturer instructions.

Perform LV power and control cable terminations at switchgear panels, generators, and ATS.

Install and tighten cable glands, lugs, and ferrules properly.

Perform cable dressing, tagging, and phase identification.

Carry out insulation resistance (megger) tests before and after termination.

Ensure correct earthing and bonding of all terminated cables.

Read and interpret SLDs, cable schedules, and termination drawings.

Support electrical engineers during testing and commissioning activities.

Identify and rectify termination defects and abnormal readings.

Maintain proper housekeeping in termination areas.

Safety & Quality Responsibilities:

Strictly follow HSE regulations and permit-to-work procedures.

Use proper PPE at all times.

Comply with approved ITPs, WIRs, and quality procedures.

Ensure all termination works meet IEC / IEEE standards and project specifications.

Report any unsafe conditions or quality issues immediately.

Qualifications & Experience:

Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Field.

Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as an MV/LV Cable Jointer.

Hands-on experience in:

MV terminations (heat shrink / cold shrink)

LV terminations

Generator and ATS power cable terminations

Experience in airports, substations, hospitals, or industrial power projects is highly preferred.

Certification in MV jointing is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of cable jointing techniques and termination accessories.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good troubleshooting and fault-detection skills.

Strong awareness of electrical safety practices.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

Site-based work at airport and critical power facilities.

Shift work and extended working hours may be required.

Exposure to confined spaces, energized equipment (under supervision), and outdoor conditions.
