# Job Description: Shattering Carpenter (Reinforced Concrete Formwork Carpenter)

**Location:** Al Khobar & Dammam, Saudi Arabia

## Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Shattering Carpenters specializing in reinforced concrete formwork construction for building projects in Al Khobar and Dammam.

## Key Responsibilities

– Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and blueprints

– Construct, install, and dismantle wooden and metal formwork (shuttering) for reinforced concrete structures

– Build formwork for columns, beams, slabs, walls, and foundations

– Ensure formwork is properly aligned, leveled, and braced according to specifications

– Install reinforcement steel bars (rebar) within formwork as required

– Apply release agents to formwork surfaces before concrete pouring

– Monitor formwork during concrete pouring to prevent deformation or collapse

– Remove formwork safely after concrete has properly cured

– Maintain and repair formwork materials for reuse

– Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE on construction sites

## Required Qualifications

– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete formwork carpentry

– Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction methods

– Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

– Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment

– Understanding of concrete curing times and formwork removal procedures

– Physical fitness and ability to work at heights

## Preferred Skills

– Experience with modern formwork systems (aluminum, steel, or modular systems)

– Knowledge of Saudi building codes and construction standards

– Valid Saudi work visa and driving license (preferred)

– Ability to supervise junior carpenters or laborers

## Working Conditions

– Full-time position on active construction sites

– Standard working hours with possible overtime

– Outdoor work in various weather conditions
