Civil Foreman in Manama

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Foreman to supervise and coordinate all on-site activities for our civil construction projects. You will be the primary link between project management and the on-site workforce, ensuring that work is executed safely, to the required quality standards, and according to the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

– Supervise and direct a team of laborers, masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and other site workers.

– Coordinate daily operations on-site, including excavation, foundation work, concrete works (formwork, reinforcement, and pouring), blockwork, and finishing activities.

– Implement and enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and procedures on the site.

– Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is carried out accurately.

– Monitor work progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and report status and issues to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.

– Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are available and used efficiently.

– Maintain daily site logbooks, record labor hours, and manage material consumption.

Requirements and Qualifications

– Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Civil Foreman or Supervisor in the contracting industry.

– Proven experience in diverse civil construction works (e.g., residential, commercial, infrastructure, utilities).

– Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and manage a multicultural workforce.

– Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety procedures, and quality control.

– Excellent ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
