Carpentry , Civil Foreman & Finishing/shuttering Carpenter in Manama

We are looking for an Carpentry & Civil foreman for an leading contracting company in Bahrain.

Salary : 350 BD ( For carpentry foreman )

Salary : 300 – 350 BD depending on experience ( For civil foremen )

Salary : 200-250 depends upon experience ( Finishing/shuttering Carpenter )

Duty Hours : 8 Hours / 26 Days

Core Responsibilities ( For civil & carpentry Foremen )

1. Supervision & Leadership : Directly oversee and coordinate the daily activities of carpentry and civil work crews. Assign specific tasks, delegate responsibilities, and resolve on-site conflicts. Train new workers, apprentices, and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship.

2. Planning & Blueprint Interpretation Analyze engineering plans, blueprints, and shop drawings to ensure the crew understands structural and finishing requirements.

Plan daily and weekly work schedules according to project priorities, weather, and material deliveries.

3. Quality & Resource Management Perform material takeoffs (estimating lumber, concrete, steel, etc.) and procure supplies.

Inspect work in progress and finished structures for structural integrity and compliance with building codes and specifications.

Manage and monitor the use of tools, heavy machinery, and raw materials to minimize waste.

4. Safety Enforcement : Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations. Conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks), hazard assessments, and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

5. Reporting & Communication Act as the primary liaison between construction workers and project managers or civil engineers.

Prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports, including labor timecards and material logs.

1. Shuttering (Formwork) Carpenter Duties :

Construct Molds: Build temporary wooden or metal molds (formwork) to hold wet concrete for foundations, columns, slabs, and walls.

Ensure Alignment: Use precise measurements, levels, and plumb lines to ensure the structure is perfectly straight and to prevent shifting under the immense weight of wet concrete.

Safe Dismantling: Safely remove and clean the shuttering after the concrete has cured, prepping it for the next project.

Safety & Support: Erect temporary scaffolding and structural supports (props/jacks) to maintain a safe working environment at elevated heights.2. Finishing (Trim) Carpenter Duties:

Install Millwork & Trim: Fit and install interior and exterior decorative elements like crown molding, baseboards, and window/door casings.

Fit Doors & Windows: Accurately measure, hang, and adjust doors, windows, and hardware (locks, hinges, handles).Cabinetry & Furniture: Assemble, fit, and secure custom-built fixtures like cabinets, vanities, shelves, and countertops.

Flooring & Walls: Install flooring, wall paneling, or drywall and sand or smooth surfaces for the final paint or varnish.
