Electrical QC Engineer (Quality Control Engineer) in Riyadh

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Electrical QC Engineer to ensure that all electrical installations, systems, and components comply with project specifications, international codes, and the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing quality control procedures from the procurement phase through to final commissioning and handover.

Develop, implement, and maintain the project Electrical Quality Control Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Conduct inspections of electrical materials, equipment, and components upon receipt (Receiving Inspection) and throughout the installation process.

Perform and witness various tests, including but not limited to:

Insulation Resistance Tests (Megger Tests)

Continuity and Earth Resistance Tests

Transformer Tests (TTR, DGA, etc.)

Circuit Breaker Timing and Contact Resistance Tests

Functional Tests of protection relays and control systems

Ensure compliance with relevant international standards and codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC/NFPA 70, BS, ISO 9001).

Review and approve method statements, inspection requests, and quality documentation from subcontractors.

Identify, document, and report non-conformances (NCRs). Lead root cause analysis and verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain accurate and traceable quality records, including inspection reports, test certificates, and calibration records.

Coordinate with clients, third-party inspection agencies, and certification bodies.

Conduct internal audits and support external quality management system audits.

Provide technical guidance and quality awareness training to site personnel and contractors.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .

A minimum of [e.g., 5] years of proven experience as an Electrical QC/QA Engineer.

In-depth knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).

Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and interpreting test results.

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Highly Desirable / Preferred:

Professional certification(s) such as:

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
