Production Engineer

Core Purpose Of The Job:
– Will be responsible for managing, innovating, overseeing, and improving of production process at a reefer box production factory.
– To meet management performance parameters by ensuring adherence do defined product specifications, quality, safety, and engineering standards.
Role And Responsibilities:
– Plan, manage, and oversee all elements of production.
– Oversee different production steps in the factory including chassis and frame building, panel manufacturing, panels and box assembly, and reefer unit installation on trucks, vans, trailers.
– Develop and draft an improved production process.
– Design and implement cost-effective methods.
– Maximize productivity of machinery and workers.
– Follow product specifications and quality control measures.
– Determine which machines, tools, equipment, etc. will be used and where they will be stationed.
– Determine the manpower required for production and workload.
– Train, supervise, and manage production line workers.
– Increase speed and efficiency of process without compromising quality.
– Determine, develop and implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products.
– Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently.
– Diagnose origin of breakdowns including human error, and troubleshoot problems.
– Work within set budgetary plans for the project.
– Follow and adhere company, and government safety rules and regulations.
– Analyze the root cause for any defects in the production line.
– Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
– Work as a team leader to achieve business goals, develop & implement strategies, and plan and execute production schedule.
– Preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
Skills :
– Good hand written and spoken English – essential.
– Ability to mentor, lead, and direct staff through positive direction and encouragement.
– Detail-oriented and extremely efficient.
– Ability to implement ideas through effective communication and drive change.

• 4+ years of proven experience in production engineering at a reefer box production factory
• Detailed knowledge of all aspects of reefer box production process
• Detailed knowledge in PU sandwich panels, trucks chassis, and reefer cooling units
• Proficiency using engineering drawing software (CAD, SOLIDWORKS, etc.)
• Bachelor degree in mechanical production engineering
• Courses in quality standard certifications such as ISO.
• Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mathematics, physics, and mechanics
