Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation and landscape plumbing systems.

2. Knowledge of water distribution and disposal systems in a landscaping context.

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design plans.

Proficiency with relevant plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, etc.).

4. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.

5. Physical fitness and strength to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and work in confined or awkward spaces.

6. A diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship, and potentially a valid plumbing license, depending on local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installations:

Install new piping, valves, and fittings for water supply, drainage, and irrigation systems according to design plans and blueprints.

Install and activate outdoor lighting and sprinkler systems.

Construct hardscapes and install related structures (e.g., patios, decks, raised garden beds) as part of landscape projects.

Maintenance & Repairs:

Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and repair problems within existing irrigation and water systems.

Perform seasonal maintenance, such as system start-ups and winterization.

Locate and repair issues such as leaks, broken drainage lines, and clogged systems.

Conduct detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades to existing landscape plumbing infrastructure.

Operations & Safety:

Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, and pipe cutters.

Adhere to all relevant safety precautions and local building/plumbing codes.

Collaborate with other landscape workers, general contractors, and clients to ensure project success and satisfaction.
