Job Summary

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies offshore, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, offshore safety regulations, and international HSE requirements. The role focuses on accident prevention, risk control, and safe work practices for all offshore activities.

Key Responsibilities

Enforce Saudi Aramco HSE policies, procedures, and offshore safety standards

Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and job safety analysis (JSA/JHA)

Monitor offshore activities including lifting, scaffolding, welding, hot work, confined space, and work at height

Carry out routine safety inspections and audits onboard platforms/vessels

Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective/preventive actions

Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at all times

Prepare and maintain HSE reports, incident reports, near-miss reports, and safety statistics

Investigate accidents, incidents, and unsafe acts; recommend corrective actions

Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and contractors to maintain safe operations

Ensure emergency response readiness, drills, and offshore safety compliance

Stop unsafe work and report immediately to management when required

Requirements & Qualifications

Saudi Aramco Approved Safety Officer (Mandatory)

Offshore experience in oil & gas / marine / platform projects

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification

Valid BOSIET / FOET with HUET

H2S certification (valid)

First Aid & Fire Fighting certificates (preferred)

Good knowledge of Aramco PTW system

Strong communication and reporting skills

Physically fit for offshore work
