Required Workshop Manager – Heavy Equipment & Vehicles (Local Or International Candidate) in Riyadh

A reputed construction company in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to manage heavy equipment, vehicles, workshop team, spare parts, maintenance, breakdown repairs, and project equipment support.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage complete workshop operations independently.

Supervise diesel mechanics, auto electricians, welders, tire men, helpers, and workshop staff.

Control preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.

Coordinate with project managers and site teams for equipment availability and support.

Maintain equipment status, repair history, breakdown reports, spare parts requests, and manpower productivity reports.

Ensure all equipment and vehicles are safe, serviced, and ready before sending to project sites.

Control spare parts, workshop tools, repair quality, safety, housekeeping, and maintenance cost.

Required Experience:

Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in heavy equipment, vehicle maintenance, and workshop operations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervisory or workshop management role.

Experience in construction companies, infrastructure projects, road works, earthworks, civil projects, Aramco/GCC projects, or similar operations is highly preferred.

Saudi Arabia / GCC experience and valid driving license will be an added advantage.

Required Qualification:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or equivalent technical qualification.

Strong practical experience may also be considered for candidates with excellent workshop management capability.

Equipment Knowledge Required:

Candidate must have good knowledge of Cranes, Drill Rig machine, Vibro-hammer, excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, bulldozers, graders, rollers, skid loaders, dump trucks, trailers, pickups, water tankers, fuel tankers, buses, diesel generators, compressors, welding machines, pumps, and other construction equipment.

Knowledge of brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, Hyundai, Doosan, Hitachi, XCMG, Mercedes, Hino, Isuzu, MAN, Scania, and similar equipment will be preferred.

Technical Skills Required:

Diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, cooling, and fuel systems.

Auto electrical systems, starting/charging systems, wiring, sensors, dashboard faults, ECU basic diagnosis, and machine control systems.

Ability to guide mechanics, review diagnosis, approve repair methods, and control repair quality.

The candidate must be honest, responsible, disciplined, and capable of managing workshop manpower, controlling repair costs, reducing equipment downtime, and supporting multiple project sites.
