Job Advertisement: Cost Controller
Position: Cost Controller
Industry: Hospitality
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
Location: (Jubail Industrial City, KSA)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Cost Controller to join our finance and procurement team in a luxury hotel environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and controlling all hotel costs to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, preferably within the hospitality sector
• Strong understanding of hotel cost structures, including F&B, housekeeping, engineering, and procurement
• Familiarity with iCloud Material Management System software (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Ability to work closely with purchasing, stores, and kitchen teams
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily receiving, issuing, and transfers of materials
• Conduct regular cost audits for all hotel departments
• Prepare cost reports and variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and internal controls
• Support month end closing activities
• Assist in menu engineering and recipe costing (if applicable)
• Verify daily receiving reports, store issues, and outlet consumption to ensure accuracy
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular spot checks in all stores and outlets
• Coordinate monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts and reconcile variances
• Review purchase requests and purchase orders to ensure cost efficiency and compliance
• Analyse recipe costing, menu pricing, and yield tests in coordination with the Executive Chef
• Track and control food, beverage, and operational supply costs across all departments
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management review
• Monitor wastage, breakage, and spoilage, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all cost‑related records
• Support internal and external audits by providing required cost data and reports
• Work closely with the finance team during month‑end closing to ensure accurate cost allocation
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and assist management in implementing improvements
