Looking for a food server to join the team!
The Food Server is responsible for delivering a high standard of service to all guests by ensuring accurate order taking, timely food and beverage delivery, and professional customer interaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to service procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
The Food Server represents the brand on the floor and is expected to uphold company standards in service, hygiene, communication, and teamwork at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Service Execution
-Greet guests professionally and courteously upon arrival.
-Present menus clearly and provide accurate information about food, beverages, ingredients, and allergens.
-Take customer orders accurately and enter them correctly into the POS system.
-Ensure correct communication of special requests, dietary requirements, and modifications.
-Serve food and beverages promptly, following proper service sequence and presentation standards.
-Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
-Maintain a polite, professional, and attentive attitude throughout the guest experience.
Order Accuracy & POS Handling
-Ensure all orders are entered correctly into the POS system.
-Double-check order details before submission to avoid errors.
-Communicate clearly with supervisors or kitchen staff if there is any uncertainty regarding an order.
-Follow proper procedures for voids, discounts, and order corrections.
-Ensure takeaway and delivery orders are packed accurately and according to standards.
-Avoid reliance on assumptions—clarification must always be sought when unsure.
Cleanliness, Hygiene & Food Safety
-Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and assigned areas at all times.
-Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards strictly.
-Handle food and beverages safely and responsibly.
-Ensure proper handling of service equipment, trays, cutlery, and glassware.
-Report any hygiene, safety, or quality concerns immediately to the Supervisor or Manager.
-Comply with Ministry of Health regulations and company food safety policies.
Teamwork & Communication
-Work collaboratively with supervisors, baristas, kitchen staff, and fellow servers.
-Communicate clearly and professionally with team members during service.
-Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
-Follow instructions from supervisors and management without deviation.
-Participate actively in briefings, training sessions, and team meetings.
Cash Handling & Payment Procedures
-Process customer payments accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
-Ensure correct handling of bills, receipts, and change.
-Follow company procedures for cash handling and payment reconciliation.
-Report any payment discrepancies immediately to management.
-Never process refunds, discounts, or voids without proper authorization.
Compliance, Conduct & Professional Standards
-Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and code of conduct at all times.
-Maintain proper grooming, uniform standards, and personal hygiene.
-Ensure punctuality and attendance according to scheduled shifts.
-Treat guests and colleagues with respect and professionalism.
-Avoid unauthorized activities, misuse of company resources, or negligence.
-Uphold confidentiality and protect company information.
Reporting & Accountability
-Report customer complaints, incidents, or operational issues promptly.
-Assist supervisors with end-of-shift duties when required.
-Ensure assigned duties are completed fully before the end of each shift.
Take responsibility for mistakes and cooperate in corrective actions.
-Demonstrate accountability for assigned tables, orders, and tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications
-Previous experience as a Food Server or similar role preferred.
-Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
-Basic knowledge of food, beverages, and service etiquette.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
-Willingness to learn and follow company standards.
