Autocad Draftsman (architect) in Riyadh

Job Title: Draftsman (AutoCAD) – Joinery Division

Location: Riyadh, KSA (Factory + Site coordination as required)

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Design/Technical Manager / Project Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman (AutoCAD) to join our Joinery Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing precise shop drawings for bespoke joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out works. However, this position is also open to fresh, talented individuals who possess strong basic knowledge of AutoCAD and a keen interest in joinery design. Training and mentorship will be provided to help them grow into the role.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for joinery items such as furniture, doors, wall panels, counters, wardrobes, kitchens, and other custom woodwork.

Convert architectural and interior design concepts into accurate shop drawings for production.

Prepare cutting lists, BOQs, and material take-offs aligned with shop drawings.

Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.

Coordinate with design teams, project managers, and site engineers for drawing approvals and revisions.

Update drawings based on consultant/client feedback, RFIs, and site conditions.

Maintain organized documentation and revision control for all drawings.

Collaborate with production and factory teams to resolve technical issues and ensure feasibility.

Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Assist estimation and sales teams with conceptual layouts and technical inputs when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

For Experienced Candidates:Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil/Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in a joinery/carpentry or fit-out company.

Strong knowledge of joinery details, woodworking techniques, hardware, and finishes.

For Fresh Candidates:Strong foundational knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D).

Basic understanding of joinery or interior design principles.

Willingness to learn and grow in a technical drafting role.

General Requirements:Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret architectural/ID drawings and technical specs.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication and time management abilities.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy and quality of shop drawings with minimal revisions.

Timely submission of drawings as per project timelines.

Responsiveness to revisions and client/consultant feedback.

Effective coordination with production and site teams.

Adherence to company standards and project requirements.
