Safety Engineer

– In-charge of development and maintenance of health, safety and environmental standards & systems
– Develop the overall strategy of continuous improvement for HMI’s Environmental Health and Safety Initiatives.
– Chairs various internal organizational committees that help develop environmental & Safety mission, policies, and respective goals/objectives.
– Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
– Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
– Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
– Directs staff in the development of seminars and workshops on occupational safety issues
– Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents. Propose appropriate solutions in accordance with applicable legislation and policies.
– Encourage & improve HSE culture within the organization.
– Develop hazard control methods, procedures and programs. Implement, administer and advise on hazard control programs.
– Plan HSE trainings in consultation with MR & HR.
– Authority to stop any work that has the high potential to cause the accident.
– Recommend safety measures to reduce employees’ exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards and to support the organization’s environmental goals.
– Conduct Industry researches & propose appropriate HSE solutions for the factory in accordance with applicable legislation and policies.
– Assures that continuously improves performance in Environmental Health and safety innovation.
– Conduct and present various studies to improve the quality of safety processes cost effectively.
– Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
– To get the achievements awards from various international certification bodies.
– Communicate with legal authorities and coordinate with them for HSE related matters. Look for new laws and regulations regarding health and safety, and make the appropriate changes in the company and accommodation.
– Evaluate hazardous material handling procedures to make sure they comply with environmental and safety requirements.
– Plan and execute the mock drills in participation with govt. authorities.
– Maintain the monitoring plan.
– Review plans and specifications with concern departments, for new machinery or equipment in order to determine if all safety requirements have been met.
– Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy.
– Review the HSEMS in accordance with MR.
– KPI, Accident analysis reports, inspection reports, audit reports, investigation reports, Monthly meeting reports, etc

Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering
• 3-6 Yrs Experince
