Job Summary:

The Driver / Cleaner is responsible for safely delivering medicines and supplies to customers and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the pharmacy premises. This dual role ensures timely, professional delivery service and a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Duties:

Deliver medicines, medical supplies, and documents to customers, clinics, or partner institutions as scheduled.

Ensure all deliveries are handled carefully and in compliance with pharmacy storage and handling requirements (e.g., temperature-sensitive products).

Collect invoices, payments, and delivery confirmations where required.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and submit them to the pharmacy manager.

Keep the company vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition.

Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.

Cleaning Duties:

Clean and sanitize all areas of the pharmacy, including the dispensing area, customer waiting area, restrooms, and offices.

Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum regularly to maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene and infection control standards.

Sanitize frequently touched surfaces (e.g., counters, doors, shelves).

Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Previous experience as a driver and/or cleaner preferred.

Knowledge of safe driving practices and basic vehicle maintenance.

Understanding of cleaning chemicals, materials, and safety procedures.

Reliable, responsible, and punctual.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

Work may involve driving in various weather conditions.

Physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and cleaning.

Must comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
