Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, Bahrain VAT regulations, and hands-on experience with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations across the organization. Key duties include managing daily accounting entries, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and reconciling bank statements. The role also involves handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
The candidate will be expected to ensure compliance with Bahrain VAT laws, assist in VAT filing and documentation, and coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits. Maintaining proper documentation, vouchers, and supporting records in line with company and regulatory standards is essential. The role may also involve liaising with banks, vendors, and government authorities when required.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA will be considered an added advantage. A minimum of 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within Bahrain or the GCC region, is required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and VAT compliance is essential. The candidate should be proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP, along with Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to meet deadlines are critical. Good communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
Experience & Knowledge
Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, managing audits, and handling VAT returns in Bahrain is highly preferred. Familiarity with Bahrain commercial laws and financial regulations will be a strong plus.
