Safety Officer ( NEBOSH CERTIFIED) in Riyadh

Contracting Company is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team and support ongoing civil, mechanical, tank rehabilitation, and power plant maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe site operations, enforcing company HSE policies, conducting inspections, and maintaining high-quality documentation aligned with the Quality & Safety Framework.

Position: Safety Officer

Location: Project Sites (Saudi Arabia)

Experience: 2–7 years (Construction / Mechanical)

Qualification Highlights:

NEBOSH IGC Certification (mandatory)

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field

Strong knowledge of HSE documentation and reporting

Key Responsibilities

Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across all site activities.

Conduct daily toolbox talks, site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.

Monitor compliance with permit-to-work, confined space entry, hot work, working-at-height, lifting operations, and excavation safety procedures.

Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including:

JSA/JHA

Risk Assessments

Incident/Accident Reports

Near-miss logs

Safety observation reports

Daily/weekly HSE statistics

Support the development of method statements and ensure HSE requirements are integrated into work plans.

Coordinate with QA/QC, PMO, supervisors, and engineers to ensure safe execution of work.

Participate in emergency drills and ensure the readiness of firefighting and safety equipment.

Report unsafe conditions and lead corrective actions with site management.

Ensure compliance with client safety standards (SEC, SWCC, NWC, and ARAMCO, where applicable).

Required Skills & Competencies

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent internationally recognised HSE certification

Strong understanding of construction and industrial safety practices

Excellent documentation, reporting, and auditing skills

Good communication and leadership abilities

Ability to train workers and promote a strong safety culture

Familiarity with HSE regulations and client requirements

Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments (tank sites, shutdowns, excavation, mechanical works)
