Operations Shift Supervisor in Riyadh

Job Summary:

Responsible for supervising daily operations of waste treatment and energy recovery facilities, as well as water and wastewater treatment plants, focusing on operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and safety standards. The role includes leading teams, managing emergencies, monitoring DCS/SCADA systems, and supporting sustainability initiatives such as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee incineration units, water treatment, and ZLD plant operations to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency.

– Lead and coordinate start-of-shift toolbox meetings to discuss safety concerns and work plans.

– Supervise daily operations and production personnel to achieve plant goals and environmental standards.

– Monitor and adjust DCS and SCADA parameters to ensure safe and efficient operations.

– Investigate and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with SOPs.

– Coordinate regulatory inspections (e.g., RCRA) and implement corrective actions as needed.

– Manage spill cleanup operations and maintain detailed logs of shift activities and equipment performance.

– Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and site compliance tasks to enhance operational safety.

– Train operational staff to adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in hazardous waste management, waste incineration, Waste-to-Energy (WtE), water/wastewater treatment, and ZLD systems.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and emergency management skills.

Proficiency in DCS and SCADA systems for monitoring and optimizing operations.

Solid knowledge of safety, health, and environmental standards.

Ability to work in shifts and effectively manage operational teams.
