Mold Technician in Riyadh

Job Summary

The Mold Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of molds used in paper and plastic manufacturing processes. The role ensures that molds operate efficiently, meet quality standards, and support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

Install, remove, and set up molds and tooling equipment according to production schedules.

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on molds to ensure optimal performance.

Inspect molds for wear, damage, or defects and recommend corrective actions.

Troubleshoot mold-related issues to minimize production downtime.

Clean, polish, and maintain molds to maintain product quality standards.

Assist in mold modifications and improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for all mold activities.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Monitor inventory levels of mold spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in mold maintenance within the paper, plastic, or packaging industry.

Knowledge of injection molding, thermoforming, or paper product manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mold specifications.

Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and heat.

May require shift work, overtime, and on-call support during production requirements.

Must follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
