Car Exhaust Welding Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Car Exhaust Welding Technician to join our automotive exhaust fabrication and repair workshop. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in exhaust system fabrication, welding, installation, diagnostics, and performance upgrades for various vehicle types. The technician should be capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Fabricate, modify, repair, and install vehicle exhaust systems.
* Perform custom exhaust fabrication, including exhaust piping, X-pipes, H-pipes, mufflers, resonators, and catalytic converter replacements.
* Install and remove exhaust headers, exhaust manifolds, and related engine exhaust components.
* Diagnose and repair exhaust leaks, air leaks, abnormal exhaust noises, vibrations, and fitment issues.
* Perform vehicle scanning and diagnostics using professional automotive scan tools.
* Identify engine fault codes related to exhaust systems, oxygen sensors (O2 sensors), catalytic converters, and emissions systems.
* Operate and perform welding using Telwin laser welding machines and other welding equipment such as TIG and MIG welders.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication measurements, and installation specifications.
* Conduct quality inspections to ensure proper exhaust flow, fitment, durability, and safety.
* Perform cutting, bending, shaping, and fabrication of stainless steel, aluminized steel, and mild steel exhaust components.
* Ensure proper alignment and secure mounting of exhaust systems and accessories.
* Assist customers with performance exhaust upgrade recommendations when required.
* Maintain workshop tools, welding equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
