HDPE Butt Fusion Welding Operators in Riyadh

Must-have qualifications

✔ Minimum 5 years of hands-on HDPE butt-fusion welding experience on active pipeline projects

✔ Demonstrated experience on large-diameter HDPE pipe — 630mm or 900mm SDR11 is strongly preferred

✔ Current certification in HDPE butt-fusion welding traceable to ISO 12176-1 (machine qualification) or DVS 2207-1 / equivalent recognised standard

✔ Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and approved WPS documents

✔ Proficiency with hydraulic butt-fusion machines (McElroy, Georg Fischer, Widos, or equivalent)

✔ Understanding of SDR ratings, PE100 material properties, and pressure class selection

✔ Valid Saudi Iqama (or eligibility to obtain one) — this is a site-based, on-ground role

✔ Physically fit to work outdoors in desert conditions including summer months

✔ Basic English or Arabic literacy sufficient to complete weld log forms

Nice to have

○ Experience with electrofusion (EF) welding and saddle fusion for service connections

○ Prior work on Saudi Aramco, SWCC, or Royal Commission pipeline projects — familiarity with their inspection regimes

○ Basic knowledge of hydrostatic pressure testing procedures (pipeline fill, pressurisation, hold period, data logging)

○ Ability to train junior operators on fusion machine setup and parameter logging

○ Experience operating within a formal ITP / NCR quality management system

○ Knowledge of heat stress management and working safely in high-temperature desert environments
