Project Engineer in Manama

Job description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Project Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our Contracting and Interior Fit-Outs division. The ideal candidate will support cost estimation, project budgeting, BOQs, tendering, and contract administration while ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with quality standards. This is a great opportunity for a young professional to gain hands-on exposure in both construction and interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for construction and interior fit-out projects.

Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare material requirement sheets.

Support in evaluating subcontractor quotations and preparing comparison statements.

Assist in drafting contracts, variations, and interim payment certificates.

Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flows to ensure financial control.

Maintain proper documentation of drawings, contracts, and site instructions.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution.

Assist in preparing project progress and cost reports.

Support in value engineering exercises to achieve cost efficiency.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

2–4 years of relevant experience in a contracting or interior fit-out company.

Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, tendering, and cost control.

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS-related software (e.g., CostX/Planswift).

Basic understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC knowledge is a plus).

Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
