Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in chemical blending, formulation, or process engineering (Perfume, Chemical, Cosmetic, Plastic, or related industries).

Job Summary

The Blending Supervisor oversees daily chemical blending operations, ensures accurate formulations, monitors the mixing process, and maintains proper documentation and safety standards. This role requires strong chemistry knowledge and hands-on experience with industrial chemical processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Blending & Formulation Supervision

• Supervise daily blending operations as per approved formulas.

• Ensure correct measurement and addition of raw materials.

• Monitor key blending parameters (temperature, time, speed, pH, density).

• Maintain consistency and quality of all blends.

2. Chemistry & Chemical Handling

• Apply chemistry knowledge to understand ingredient behavior and compatibility.

• Safely handle chemicals according to MSDS and company guidelines.

• Inspect raw materials and report quality issues.

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily blending reports, including batch number, materials used, output, and deviations.

• Maintain formulation sheets, batch logs, and blending records.

• Report blending results to Production Manager and QA.

4. Process Control & Improvement

• Troubleshoot blending problems (separation, viscosity issues, off-odor, etc.).

• Support R&D in new formula trials.

• Suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.

5. Team Leadership

• Supervise and guide blending operators.

• Provide training on blending methods, chemical handling, and safety.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the blending area.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

• 3–5 years experience in chemical blending or formulation.

• Knowledge of solvents, additives, mixing processes, and reactions.

• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

• Ability to operate blending tanks, mixers, pumps, and measuring instruments.

• Knowledge of GMP, PPE, MSDS, and safety standards.
