Transportation Operations Manager in Abqaiq

Job Purpose:oil and gas experience

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the company’s transportation and heavy equipment fleet (50+ trailers and cranes), ensuring maximum fleet utilization, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and profitable growth of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet & Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the entire fleet (trailers, cranes, and supporting equipment)

• Optimize fleet utilization, scheduling, and dispatch across multiple sites/clients

• Supervise transportation coordinators, drivers, and operators

• Plan preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

Business Development & Client Relations

• Identify and pursue new contracts and clients in the oilfield services and logistics sectors

• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients

Cost Control & Financial Reporting

• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall operational expenses

• Prepare monthly utilization, revenue, and cost reports for the owner

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend operational improvements

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all vehicles, cranes, and operators hold valid licenses, permits, and certifications

• Ensure compliance with Saudi transport regulations and Wasl GPS tracking requirements

• Oversee HSE standards across all operations

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics operations management in Saudi Arabia, preferably in heavy equipment or oilfield services

• Proven experience managing large fleets (50+ units)

• Strong negotiation, leadership, and reporting skills

• Proficient in MS Excel and fleet management systems

• Valid Saudi driving license preferred
