Key Responsibilities

• Budget & Estimate Development: Prepare accurate project cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.

• Cost Monitoring & Forecasting: Track actual expenditures against the baseline budget, analyzing variances and forecasting future financial requirements.

• Contractor/Vendor Management: Verify invoices, claims, and subcontractor payments to ensure accuracy and adherence to contracts.

• Change Order Management: Monitor changes in project scope (variations), negotiate prices for change orders, and update budgets accordingly.

• Reporting: Generate regular cost reports, progress updates, and cash flow analysis for management review.

• Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial).

• Experience: Generally 5–10 years in cost control, planning, or engineering.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and data visualization tools like Power BI.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management, cost accounting, and contracting principles.

• Certifications: Recognized certificates in cost management (e.g., AACE CCP) are often preferred.

Must have valid and transferable iqama.
