Job Title: IT Specialist

Job Summary

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the effective operation of computer systems, networks, software applications, and security controls while providing technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals

• Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems to ensure optimal performance

• Provide first and second-level technical support to end users

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner

• Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions (Active Directory, Email, ERP, etc.)

• Ensure data backup, recovery, and system security procedures are properly implemented

• Maintain IT documentation, inventory, and asset records

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required

• Support system upgrades, patches, and new technology deployments

• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• Proven experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support Engineer, or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with servers, firewalls, antivirus, and backup systems

• Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Linux systems and virtualization technologies

• Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar)

• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and time-management abilities
