We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and expertise in our health food concept restaurant to deliver exceptional dining experiences in line with Spartan Kitchen’s health-focused image.
Responsibilities
•Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
•Develop and enhance healthy, innovative menus in line with the Spartan Kitchen brand.
•Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
•Implement and maintain food safety, hygiene and company SOP standards.
•Manage inventory, purchasing, food costs, and minimise wastage.
•Conduct regular stock takes and monitor kitchen expenses.
•Recruit, train, coach, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, ownership, and accountability.
•Coordinate with the Restaurant Supervisor for staff schedules to ensure efficient manpower planning.
•Collaborate with management on menu engineering, operational improvements, and profitability.
•Address customer feedback and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Qualifications
•Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality (preferred).
•HACCP/Food Safety Certification is an advantage.
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or café.
•Experience in a health-focused or casual dining concept is preferred.
