Data Center HVAC Technician in Riyadh

Looking for Data Center / HVAC Technician:

We are looking for a dedicated Data Center HVAC expert to manage and maintain the complex cooling systems that power our digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all critical HVAC equipment, including Chillers (Centrifugal/Screw), AHUs, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers, pumps, and water treatment systems.

• System Optimization: Monitor building management systems (BMS) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools to analyze performance, identify opportunities for energy savings, and optimize cooling capacity.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC systems under pressure, ensuring minimal disruption to the server environment.

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Execute and update MOPs (Method of Procedure) and SOPs for all HVAC-related tasks.

• Vendor Management: Coordinate with and oversee third-party contractors for specialized repairs and projects.

• Emergency Response: Participate in on-call rotation and respond immediately to HVAC-related alarms or critical system failures.

What You’ll Bring (Required Skills):

• Experience: 6 years of hands-on experience in industrial, critical facility, or data center HVAC maintenance.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of medium to large-scale chiller plants, chilled water distribution, and direct expansion (DX) cooling systems.

• Certifications: EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (or local equivalent) is mandatory.

• BMS/Controls: Experience operating and interpreting data from BMS/SCADA systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric).

• Safety: Deep commitment to safety protocols and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Adiabatic/Evaporative cooling technologies.

• Knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V.

• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or similar data center standards.
