Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Specialist – Large-Scale Agricultural Project

Position Summary:

A large-scale agricultural project is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Specialist with extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, power generation equipment, and electrical installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems across the project.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably within large agricultural or industrial operations.

Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, pumps, generators, and power distribution systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and technical drawings and schematics.

Strong knowledge of electric motors, diesel engines, control panels, and automation systems.

Familiarity with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all agricultural machinery and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimize operational downtime.

Operate, inspect, and maintain irrigation pumps, water distribution systems, and irrigation infrastructure.

Maintain and troubleshoot generators, transformers, electrical distribution networks, and control panels.

Service and repair tractors, harvesters, agricultural vehicles, and other heavy equipment.

Inspect, test, and maintain electric motors, diesel engines, and related mechanical systems.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce breakdowns.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintenance procedures.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.

Coordinate spare parts inventory and identify future maintenance requirements.

Support the implementation of modern technologies and automation systems to improve productivity.

Collaborate with project management to ensure uninterrupted agricultural operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with center pivot irrigation systems and drip irrigation systems.

Knowledge of PLC systems, automation controls, and industrial electrical systems.

Experience in maintaining large diesel generators and pumping stations.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
