Structural Engineer (15+ Years Experience) – PMC Team

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of relevant expertise to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major construction project.

About the Role

As a key member of the PMC team, you will provide expert oversight, technical review, and quality assurance on structural design and construction activities. This is a senior position requiring strong leadership, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Review and approve structural designs, drawings, calculations, and material submittals.

Provide technical guidance and resolve complex structural engineering issues during design and construction phases.

Conduct site inspections and audits to verify construction quality and adherence to approved designs.

Coordinate with the Contractor’s team, Client representatives, and other consultants.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocode, SBC, etc.).

Prepare technical reports, progress assessments, and variation evaluations related to structural works.

Participate in value engineering and risk management processes.

Mentor junior engineers within the PMC team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in structural engineering, with significant exposure to large-scale building or infrastructure projects.

Proven experience working in a PMC, Consultant, or Supervision role on major projects.

Strong knowledge of structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, etc.).

Thorough understanding of local and international building codes and standards.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural project environment.

Valid professional engineering license (PE or equivalent) is highly desirable.
