Mechanical Technical Office & Project Technical Support Engineer in Dammam

A growing electromechanical contracting company in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technical Office & Project Technical Support Engineer.

The candidate must be a Mechanical Engineer capable of providing complete technical support to project teams for mechanical works only, including:

• Mechanical firefighting systems

• Fire pumps and fire water networks

• HVAC, ventilation, ductwork

• Plumbing, drainage, stormwater

• Pumps, tanks, valves, piping, and mechanical infrastructure

Main Responsibilities

• Study project documents, contracts, specifications, BOQs, IFC drawings, and tender documents.

• Prepare and review mechanical concept design, design basis, engineering calculations, and technical solutions.

• Prepare/review hydraulic calculations, cooling load calculations, duct sizing, ESP, pump head, plumbing, drainage, stormwater, and tank calculations.

• Prepare/review mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, piping routing, duct routing, and as-built drawings when required.

• Prepare quantity take-off, material take-off, BOQ review, and material requisitions.

• Prepare/review material submittals, technical submittals, compliance statements, method statements, RFIs, MIRs, and IRs.

• Support tendering, estimation, technical-commercial proposals, RFPs, price analysis, and cost breakdowns.

• Support procurement by reviewing supplier/subcontractor offers and preparing technical/commercial comparisons.

• Support cost control, forecasting, value engineering, optimization, and material utilization.

• Prepare/support variation orders, change orders, claims, and all required supporting documents.

• Provide practical technical solutions to site and project teams during execution.

• Protect the company’s technical, financial, and contractual rights through proper documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical technical office, MEP contracting, or project technical support.

• Strong experience in firefighting mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, pumps, and mechanical infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, Saudi Building Code, IPC/UPC or equivalent standards.

• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, HAP or equivalent HVAC software, and Elite Fire / AutoSPRINK or equivalent hydraulic calculation software.

• Revit, Navisworks, Primavera/MS Project, ERP, or document control systems are advantages.

• Previous Saudi Arabia / GCC experience is preferred.

• Contracting company experience is highly preferred.
